About Tree of Love
Since 1985, the Tree of Love campaign has helped provide patients in need with access to mammograms and breast health services at Beacon hospitals in southwest Michigan, supporting early detection and lifesaving care for breast cancer.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and 1% of breast cancer diagnoses each year will occur in men. The 5 year survival rate for breast cancer that is diagnosed and treated early is 98%, yet 1 in 5 patients do not have insurance that covers critical early detection screenings.
Thanks to the generosity of Tree of Love donors, in just the last year alone, 120 patients have received more than $132,000 in procedures and care — giving them access to critical breast health services and the chance for early, lifesaving detection.

Each giving level offers a meaningful way to make a difference and honor someone you love, symbolized by a pink light on the Tree of Love displayed outside Beacon Kalamazoo Hospital.
$8: Light
Your gift represents the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. One honoree light is included at this giving level.
$25: Honor
At this level, you are contributing to the Tree of Love mammography and breast services program, and honoring up to 4 loved ones.
$40: Legacy
In honor of the 40th year of Tree of Love, your $40 gift celebrates decades of lifesaving impact. You’ll be continuing a tradition of hope and healing that has helped patients receive critical early detection services, and may honor up to 6 loved ones with lights on the Tree of Love.
$100: Mammogram
Your gift will provide one patient in need with a screening mammogram. At this level you may honor loved ones with 14 lights on the Tree of Love.
$250: Tomosynthesis
Your gift will provide a patient in need with a 3D Tomosynthesis, providing a more comprehensive view and improved detection rates. You can honor or remember loved ones with up to 32 lights.
$500: Outreach*
Your gift will provide information about services to the local community, bringing visibility to the Tree of Love program. You can honor loved ones with up to 64 lights.
$1,000: Early Detection*
As an Early Detection donor, you will ensure that ten patients in need have access to a screening mammogram. You will receive 125 honoree lights on the Tree of Love.
$1,500: Survivor*
Honor those who have survived through early detection and intervention. A gift at the Survivor level will receive 188 honoree lights on the Tree of Love.
$2,500: Memorial*
Your gift will provide ten patients with a 3D Tomosynthesis. This level honors all those who have lost their battle with cancer and allows for up to 314 honoree lights.
$5,000: Pink Ribbon*
As a Pink Ribbon donor you are ensuring patients can access a mammogram and further diagnostic scans and testing for early detection of breast cancer. You can honor loved ones with up to 625 lights on the Tree of Love.
$10,000: Pink Champion*
Giving at this level will make an impact to many patients and their families. Your name or company logo will be proudly displayed next to the Tree of Love outside Beacon Kalamazoo hospital. You will ensure that the Tree of Love continues to shine providing lifesaving early detection. At this level you have the opportunity to honor loved ones represented by up to 1,250 lights.
*Tree of Love tree kits will be provided to the first 50 donors or sponsors of $500 or more. Tree kits will include a pre-lit tabletop tree and sign which may be picked up at the Foundation office.
